After attending the same car show, a woman, Janette Pantoja, and her ex-boyfriend disappeared one day after Kiely Rodney, who was only 35 miles away.
The sister of Janette has questioned why Kiely Rodni’s hunt has gotten so much more media attention and law enforcement resources than her sister’s.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office verified that a man and a woman were located after a guy contacted 911 on Wednesday night to report seeing a car down an embankment. The car’s exterior contained both bodies.

Juan Almanza Zavala And Janette Pantoja: What Happened To Missing California Couple?
Following a car show that Kiely Rodni, the missing youngster, had also attended just days before her disappearance, a California woman and her ex-boyfriend vanished around the same time and from the exact location. They were reported dead on Wednesday.
Authorities claim that on the evening of August 6, Janette Pantoja, 29, and Juan Almanza Zavala, 36, went to the Hot August Nights car show in Reno, Nevada.
According to the Independent, after their eight-year relationship ended, the two, who remained close friends, informed their families that they would return to Yuba City, California.
On August 7, Mr. Zavala’s family reported him missing to the Yuba City Police Department, and Ms. Pantoja’s family reported both of them missing after they failed to return home.
According to the authorities, they were last seen driving Mr. Zavala’s blue 2002 Ford Explorer with the license plate 4SNS072.
Their smartphones last pinged near Penn Valley, Nevada County, but a search of the neighborhood, including homes, has not revealed any information regarding their whereabouts.
Alejandra Pantoja, Ms. Pantoja’s sister, told Fox News Digital that at around 11 pm on August 6, Ms. Pantoja texted her current boyfriend to let him know she would be home soon.
The victim’s sister claimed that when she didn’t come home, her boyfriend got a notification on his phone indicating she had ceased sharing the location information from her smartphone.
She never expressed herself in any other way. her sister answered, “She’s not like that.” A mere 35 miles away in Truckee, California, over the Nevada line, Kiely Rodni vanished without a trace almost precisely 24 hours before the duo went missing.
Following a gathering attended by 200–300 teenagers and young adults, Kiely, 16, was last seen at the Prosser Family Campground at around 12.30 am on August 6.

Was California Couple Case An Accident Or Murder?
According to actionnewsnow, The Gridley Police Department called the Nevada County Regional Dispatch Center at 5:00 pm on Wednesday after discovering a car that seemed to have crashed near Highway 20 and Poker Flats Road. Responding to the call were CHP and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
Units responded to the area, investigated, and discovered a car stuck behind some vegetation but not immediately accessible from the road. Further examination revealed skid marks in the roadside dirt, according to Yuba City PD.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a dead male and female outside the car.
On August 6, a missing person investigation was started for the teenager. She hasn’t been located either. Like Ms. Pantoja’s and Mr. Zavala’s vehicles, Kiely’s 2013 Honda CRV in silver is still missing.
Another strange connection is that Kiely’s mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, previously told The Independent that her daughter had intended to accompany her to the car show the night before Kiely disappeared.
On the morning of August 5, the mother and daughter discussed the arrangements; however, later that day, Kiely texted Ms. Rodni-Nieman to inform her that she had changed her mind and would now be attending the camping party.
Later that day, Kiely texted me that she would skip the car show in favor of a party. There was a party in Prosser, and she had previously attended the car show, according to her mother. “Yeah, that’s OK, of course, you may go to the party,” I responded.
The vehicle exhibition in Reno had already been attended by Ms. Rodni-daughter Nieman earlier in the week.
The Independent has gotten in touch with the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, handling both investigations, to determine if any potential connections between the two instances are being looked into.
Alejandra questioned why Kiely’s case had garnered more attention and law enforcement resources than her sister’s, despite the same act that both investigations were now in their second weeks.
“How come they’re making a big deal about her but not for a member of our family? She told Fox, “It’s not OK. She claimed that although Yuba City investigators had promised her that they would do an aerial search, they have yet to do so.
She complained, “They’ve promised us they’d send an aerial search, but they haven’t. So I feel like they’re giving possible suspects time to go if something has happened to them or he did something to her.”
In contrast, air and dive teams were sent in to assist in the hunt for Kiely, and more than 300 authorities and law enforcement personnel were involved at its height.
Investigators revealed on Monday that they were beginning to narrow the scope of their search for the teenager and shift to a “more constrained” phase.
