He served the Bakersfield Police Department and the Bakersfield community for 27 years before taking his own life.

His son, Jordan, made his NFL debut today with Green Bay Packers though the team lost the match against Kansas City Chiefs.

Even so, he impressively completed 19-of-34 passes for 190 yards, one interception, and his first NFL touchdown, a 20-yard pass.

Who Was Orbin Love? Meet Jordan Love’s Father

Orbin Love has gained fame as the father of Jordan Love at the moment.

Although he is no more, it is quite interesting to see that he is not forgotten and called out by many even as of today.

As a dedicated police officer to his Bakersfield community, everyone was shocked and saddened by his suicide. However, the real reason behind his actions is not known to the public even today.

Orbin was a high school quarterback himself and had hoped Jordan to follow the same path despite Jordan’s physical capabilities suitable for other sports.

The late Orbin has been described as a dotted father who never cursed, smoked, drank, and used drugs, per NFL.

What Happened To Him?

Orbin Love did not reveal any reason and took his own life on July 13, 2013, when his aspiring son was just 14 years old.

Some say that he took his life with his service weapon, while some argue that he died due to a medication overdose.

However, the Love family has not disclosed any further details into the appalling incident.

It seems the reason behind Orbin’s suicide will remain a mystery forever as there was no way for a responsible family man to take his own life.

Instead, Jordan fulfilled his wish by debuting on NFL while the other family members supported him in any way by fulfilling the late Orbin’s wishes.

Meet the Love Family

Orbin Love’s beloved family includes his wife, Anna Love, and his four children; Kami, Emily, Jordan, and Alexis.

Jordan is the only son of the family and is reported to be loved heartedly by his mother and sisters.

His mother has never missed his games since he started playing in high school.

Jordan was an impressive quarterback for Utah State University, for which he was able to get noticed by the NFL drafters in the first round last year.

Today’s debut match was attended by his mother and his girlfriend, Ronika Stone, who has gained media attention for being seated at last seats at the Arrowhead Stadium.
