What is the Difference Between Magnum and Regular Condoms

Magnum vs Regular Condoms

There’s a lot of buzz between condom sizes. Is it a matter of personal pride when men happen to buy larger sized condoms? Well, in as much as this may be the case, the truth of the matter is that some condoms that are named differently may just be a marketing ploy. Take, for example, the difference between a regular-sized condom and the magnum sizes which many are wondering if there really is a significant difference. The answer – yes, there is a difference but not that significant!

Foremost, there are many types of condoms. You can classify them according to the type of material used to make the condom (latex, polyurethane, lambskin, and polyisoprene), strength/thickness (regular strength, strong, extra strong), shape (regular, fit-type, and flared, among others), and size (trim, snug fit, regular, XL, XXL, and magnum).
Technically speaking, magnum condoms are wider or have bigger girth than regular condoms. It is about 15% bigger in girth (just more or less 1 cm) than regular condoms. By the word “girth,” this pertains to the measurement of the condom all around it (the perimeter). Because of this size, magnum condoms are obviously easier to fit in compared to regular condoms.

However, the majority of men using condoms would agree that using regular-sized condoms is more than enough, and that choosing the magnum counterpart is just like bragging indirectly at the cashier. In fact, regular condoms are stretchable enough that it can even fit your entire arm. This stretchability gives regular-sized condoms its snug or perfect fit that is just right for most men. And so, even if you seem to be “large” enough to warrant the use of a magnum condom, you should first try using the regular condom first because, most likely, it is just as good to go. Just shift to magnum when a regular-sized condom feels too tight as if it’s already constricting your organ.

Moreover, it has been estimated that only about 5% of the entire male population would actually need to use magnum condoms for the purpose of using a really larger-sized condom that won’t be too tight, painful, or uncomfortable once used. If the rest of the male population will use magnum condoms, chances are that they will have the condoms slip away and may accidentally leave them behind in their partner’s cavity during sexual intercourse.

Summary:

1.Magnum condoms are wider or have a larger girth compared to regular condoms.
2.Magnum condoms are only for those who really have an exceptionally large organ.
3.The majority of condom users prefer using regular condoms, even if they have a large organ, because it often gives the perfect fit that won’t slide off during sexual intercourse.
