Tina Turner has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to her previous marriage; domestic violence was perpetrated against her by Ike Turner.
Thankfully, she has found happiness in the arms of her second husband, Erwin Bach.

Tina Turner,82, has faced many health problems but more so after she was married to Erwin Bach in 2013. She has been battling PTSD after getting through stroke, cancer, and kidney failures.
Suffice to say; I think she has had enough health problems to last many lifetimes.
She had an old chest pain that flared up every once. Months after she was hitched again, she faced many more health problems starting with a stroke. She was then diagnosed with colon cancer. Afterward, her kidney failed, and she was subjected to dialysis for nine months before she received a kidney transplant.
In those months, she was ready to go if it was her time. But, thankfully, she is alive.

Shockingly, in a recent interview with CBS This Morning, she discussed how this arises from her insecurities. Back when she was first starting, she was insecure about many things, including her voice. “Strange” was how she described the sound of her voice, and she felt it was ugly because her voice was a far cry from sounding like Diana Ross.
Apart from her voice, she also felt she lacked in the looks department saying she “didn’t feel attractive.” It is why she felt the need to don wigs and wear makeup. In her interview, you can hear her say, “I had to make myself pretty. I had to work on that.”
It’s been said that she has little, tiny baby locks underneath all the wigs that Tina dons. Dread head. Hopefully, we get to see her belt on stage in her natural hair before she retires.
