William Wallace Wiki – William Wallace Biography
William Wallace is a California man who killed his wife and then propped her body on a couch for his children as they opened presents on Christmas morning, prosecutors alleged. Wallace allegedly told his children that his mother was drunk when they unwrapped the gifts at her Anaheim home in front of his body, the Orange County Register reported.
The haunting scene that occurred in December 2011 was described as Wallace’s murder trial that began on Monday.
William Wallace age
He is 39 years old in 2021.
Wife
Wallace was married to a 26-year-old wife, Za’Zell Preston. Preston’s dreams of becoming a domestic violence counselor ended with her own sudden death of hers in 2011.
Several months before her death, Preston had enrolled in classes at Cypress College, where she hoped to learn how to become a domestic violence counselor.
A violent relationship ended when an Anaheim man killed his wife and then propped her body on a couch for his children to open presents on Christmas morning 2011, a prosecutor told the jury Monday, March 8.
Children
The couple shared a newborn son, as well as Preston’s two daughters, who were then 3 and 8 years old. The family had gone to a neighbor’s Christmas Eve party before her sudden death.
Arrested – Charged
Wallace was arrested and has been in custody on a $ 1 million bond for nine years while awaiting trial. His attorney argued that Wallace was not responsible for Preston’s sudden death, insisting that he died from his injuries after he tripped and fell on a glass table.
“Mr. Wallace is being accused of something that is not his fault,” Moorhead told the jury. “You will hear about a relationship that was full of arguing and yelling, but also a lot of love.”
If he is convicted of first-degree murder, Wallace could face up to 25 years of life in prison.
Killed his Wife
The haunting scene occurred in December 2011.
“This Christmas story doesn’t have a happy ending, and sadly, it’s not just a story, it’s real life,” Deputy District Attorney Heather Brown told jurors. A neighbor said he overheard the couple arguing later that night after their return, the outlet reported.
Wallace allegedly told one of Preston’s relatives that “we were drinking and during the discussion, I threw it away a bit.” The next morning, Wallace dragged her wife’s body from her bedroom to her living room, where he placed her on the couch wearing sunglasses, Brown said.
“Mommy ruined Christmas, she got drunk and she ruined Christmas,” she supposedly told the children.
It’s unclear who called 911, but when paramedics arrived, she was slumped on the couch, prosecutors said.
