Omar Vizquel played for 24 years in MLB, but he did not get elected to the Hall of Fame 2022.
On Tuesday, former Indians All-Star Omar Vizquel fell short of the 75 percent mark needed to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The final result showed that in his fifth go-round, the totals plummeted to a new low of 23.9 percent, reports WKYC.
Forer MLB, Omar Vizquel Fall Short Of Votes To Hall Of Fame 2022
Omar Vizquel failed to be elected to the Hall of fame 2022 after members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America gave him only 23.9 percent of the vote.
MLB Network broadcasted the final results. Players must get at least 75% of the vote to be admitted into the Hall of Fame and are liable to be on the ballot for at least ten years.
David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox was the only player to obtain the required 75 percent of the voting to be elected. However, many fans think that the results were unsatisfactory as deserving candidates had been denied this year.
However, the support for Omar is rarely seen this year because scandals and controversies have surrounded him. An autistic man accused him of sexual harassment last year.
Take away the ballots from everyone who voted for Omar Vizquel. Seriously.
Not to pick on Vizquel specifically, but I guarantee if you remove those 94 ballots, Bonds and Clemens easily get in.

According to ESPN, the victim stated in a civil lawsuit that Vizquel exposed his genitalia many times and forced the man to wipe his back while he showered.
According to the complaint, the longtime major league player engaged in “sexually aggressive behavior” on “at least five instances,” including “deliberately exposing his erect or partially erect genital” to the guy.
Omar Vizquel Denies Abuse Allegations Of Former Wife Blanca Garcia
Omar Vizquel was accused of abusing his wife Blanca Garcia in 2020. His wife, filing for divorce, claimed that he physically assaulted her in 2011 before their marriage and in 2016.
On October 7, 2020, Blanca accused him in an Instagram live broadcast. Some sources claimed that Vizquel was charged with fourth-degree domestic abuse in 2016 following an altercation at their Seattle-area home.
However, the charges were dismissed later, at her request. In addition, she claimed on the live video that Vizquel allegedly pressured her into signing the letter and threatened her with financial retaliation at that time.
Baseball HOF voting has a character clause.
Omar Vizquel is accused of beating his wife and sexually assaulting a bat boy.
Not quite sure how a voter can overlook that.

Likewise, the former player reportedly strangled his wife after an altercation at her sister’s home in Alabama in December 2011. He refuted the allegations, claiming Blanca scratched her, which she also denies.
Nevertheless, the couple eventually filed a joint request to dismiss any charges related to the incident, which was approved. In addition, Omar vehemently denied all those allegations.
Domestic Violence News Put Omar Vizquel In Difficult Position
Omar Vizquel failed to elect to the Hall of Fame 2021 following the domestic violence allegations. MLB had been investigating the matter since then, but any concrete evidence is yet to be found.
Similarly, this year, his chances dropped even more after being accused of sexually assaulting a 25 years old autistic man.
