Wife of drug dealer Frank Lucas – Who is Julianna Farrait?

Who is Julianna Farrait?

Frank Lucas was a notorious drug dealer, known for bringing drugs from Southeast Asia to the USA. Now, if you thought that his wife was different, you are wrong. Like Frank, Julianna also served time having been caught selling cocaine on the streets. The two were married for more than 40 years.

Julianna Farrait Wiki- Age, Childhood, and Education

Julianna Farrait was born in Puerto Rico in 1941, however, her exact birth date and place are unknown.

Unfortunately, nothing more is available about Julianna’s life before she met Frank Lucas, including her family, education, and whether she has any siblings or not.

Julianna Farrait and Frank Lucas Relationship

Julianna and Frank met in one of Puerto Rican clubs, but there is no information when this happened; the two hit it off immediately and started a romance that lasted until the end of Frank’s life. They were married for more than 40 years and had seven children together, including daughter Francine Lucas-Sinclair and son Frank Lucas Jr. Julianna was involved alongside Frank in the illegal business of drug smuggling, and when all came crumbling down, she was also caught.

Frank was arrested in 1976, and the following year, Frank, Julianna, and their daughter were placed under the witness protection program. Julianna left Frank when they both got out of prison and went back to Puerto Rico. However, the couple reconciled in 2006 and remained together until Frank’s death in 2019.

Prison Time

Julianna spent five years in prison following her arrest and trial; after she was released, she lived a peaceful life in Puerto Rico for a while. However, she later returned to the US, and got back in with her husband.

Four years later, Julianna was caught selling two kilos of cocaine at a hotel in Puerto Rico, as her client was an undercover FBI informant. This led to another term of imprisonment, this time for five years.

Julianna Farrait Net Worth, Height, Weight, and Appearance

At the time when their business thrived, Julianna and Frank were worth millions, but their wealth dropped over time. Nowadays, Julianna’s net worth has been estimated at still over $1.5 million, as of early 2020.

Julianna Farrait stands at 5ft 4ins (1.62m) tall, while she weighs approximately 123lbs (56kgs). She has brown eyes, while her hair is now grey, though she had brown hair.

Julianna Farrait’s Husband, Frank Lucas

Frank Lucas was born on the 9th of September 1930, in La Grange, North Carolina USA, the son of Fred Lucas and his wife Mahalee (nee Jones). He spent his childhood in Greensboro, California, and had a tough childhood, witnessing several disturbing events during his early teenage years.

One such experience was the murder of his 12 year-old cousin by Ku Klux Klan members, killed because his cousin was eyeballing a Caucasian woman in the town they lived in. This changed his perspective on life, and started with petty crimes until he reached New York City, and began working for Bumpy Johnson.

Life as a Criminal

He worked for Johnson until his death, though some of his stories have been discredited, but it was after Bumpy Johnson’s death that Frank took his life into his own hands. At first he just traveled across the US, looking for a way to make it. He realized that the Italian Mafia was holding the monopoly over New York, and that he had to break it somehow.

He visited Bangkok, Thailand, and at Jack’s American Star Bar, a hangout for soldiers, met former US Army sergeant Leslie ‘Ike’ Atkinson, who helped him smuggle drugs into the US, after Frank made connections with Southeast Asia dealers and started trafficking drugs into the USA – some sources state that he used caskets of deceased US Army soldiers. His main import was from Thailand, and it’s been said that his heroin named “Blue Magic” was 98-100% pure.

At the peak of his operations, Frank was making around $1 million on the streets of New York, and at some point, his wealth was around $30 billion.

He and his wife were known to purchase expensive gifts for one another, however, Lucas liked to look more casual and corporate, not wanting to attract much attention to himself.

Arrest, Imprisonment, Death

Frank and Julianna’s house in Teaneck, New Jersey USA was raided in January 1975, and the agents of the US Drug Enforcement Administration and other detectives from the New York Police Department found over $500,000 in cash. He was arrested and sentenced to 70 years in prison. However, he made a plea deal and gave away pieces of evidence that brought more than 100 other drug-related convictions, so that he served only five years, and was released in 1981.

However, just three years later, Frank was back to his old self, and was caught trying to exchange an ounce of heroin and $13,000 for one kilogram of cocaine. This time, his sentence was seven years in prison.

He became a public face in 2007 when he was the subject of the film “American Gangster”, and was portrayed by Denzel Washington. Frank visited the set and provided the director and actor with information and advice about himself and his way of life.

Frank spent the last years of his life in a wheelchair, as he was involved in a car accident that broke his legs. He passed away on the 30th of May 2019 at his home in Cedar Grove, New Jersey.

Viktor Bout’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

What is Viktor Bout’s Net Worth?Viktor Bout is an arms dealer from Russia who has a net worth of $50 million. Viktor Bout allegedly used his numerous air transport companies to smuggle potentially billions of dollars worth of weapons from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and Africa following the fall of the Soviet Union. In 2008, he was arrested in Thailand on charges of terrorism, and in 2011 was convicted in the United States of conspiracy to kill US officials and citizens. Bout was subsequently sentenced to 25 years in prison. Viktor was portrayed by Nicolas Cage in the 2005 film “Lord of War.”? Compare Viktor Bout’s Net WorthEarly LifeViktor Bout was born on January 13, 1967 in Dushanbe in what was then the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic of the USSR. Not many other details about his origins or upbringing are known, and even his date of birth is not entirely certain.Military ServiceBout graduated from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages and served in the Soviet Armed Forces. Through his training, he became fluent in Portuguese, Persian, Arabic, English, and French in addition to Russian. Bout reportedly served as a translator for the Soviet Army due to his polyglot status. He was allegedly discharged in 1991 upon the collapse of the USSR.Career BeginningsDepending on the source, Bout had different positions following his discharge from the army. According to his personal website, he launched an air freight business called Air Cess that operated out of Angola. The business provided services to the US, France, and the United Nations. In 1994, Bout sent shipments to the pre-Taliban government of Afghanistan. According to other sources, Bout also spent time as a GRU major, a KGB operative, or an officer in the Soviet Air Forces.Arms TraffickingBetween 1996 and 1998, Bout reportedly smuggled many different kinds of weapons from Bulgaria to Africa, possibly with the intent of being used by UNITA in the Angolan Civil War. Meanwhile, in Liberia, he was accused of supplying warlord Charles Taylor with arms to use in that country’s first civil war. Bout was also accused of arms trafficking during the Yugoslav Wars.In 2004, Bout and his associate Richard Chichakli established an airline company in Tajikistan to carry out money laundering activities. During this time, he allegedly supplied arms to a number of groups in Africa, and also allegedly sent surface-to-air missiles to Kenya for use in an attack on an Israeli aircraft. Among his other activities, Bout was reported to have a substantial commercial presence in Libya. However, because he was constantly on the move, operating multiple companies, and often re-registering his aircraft, authorities were never able to mount a definitive case against him for arms smuggling in Africa.Arrest and ExtraditionCharged in the Central African Republic in 2000 for forging documents, Bout was convicted in absentia; the charges were eventually dropped. Two years later, Belgian authorities issued an Interpol red notice on Bout on charges of money laundering. However, the case was ultimately dismissed due to Bout’s lack of a fixed residence and the fact that the case couldn’t be prosecuted in a timely manner. In the summer of 2004, Bout’s assets in the US were frozen under an Executive Order. In early 2008, Bout was targeted by a sting operation organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration. He was subsequently arrested in Bangkok, Thailand on an Interpol red notice issued by the US. Later in the year, an extradition hearing took place in Bangkok. In August of 2009, the Bangkok Criminal Court ruled in favor of Bout; however, an appeal by the US the following year reversed the decision. As a result, Bout was extradited to the US in late 2010. This caused an uproar from the Russian government, which claimed the extradition was politically motivated and illegal. The Russian government responded by imposing sanctions on anyone involved in the extradition.Prosecution and ConvictionFollowing his arrest in Bangkok, the US Department of Justice charged Bout with conspiracy to kill US citizens and officials; conspiracy to supply resources to a foreign terrorist organization; and conspiracy to deliver anti-aircraft missiles. More charges were filed against him in early 2010. Bout was ultimately convicted by a federal court in Manhattan in November of 2011. In April of the following year, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.Brittney Griner ExchangeIn 2022, it was reported that the Biden administration had offered Bout to Russia in exchange for the release of WNBA star Brittney Griner, who was being held on charges related to drug possession. In the MediaBout has influenced or been the subject of a number of media properties. In 2005, he was the focus of the third chapter of Nick Kochan’s book “The Washing Machine.” The same year, Bout allegedly served as the inspiration for the crime film “Lord of War,” starring Nicolas Cage as an international arms trafficker. Bout has also been the subject of the 2014 documentary “The Notorious Mr. Bout” and episodes of the documentary series “Manhunt: Kill or Capture” and “Damian Lewis: Spy Wars.”
