The graphic death video of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz is still circulating on Reddit today.
In 2018, 15 years old Lesandro was killed by gang members of the Dominican-American gang, Trinitarios as a case of mistaken identity. This sparked massive public outrage as the video started surfacing online.
Besides the surveillance camera, the clip was also captured on a cellphone. It then started circulating on the internet and is still available on Reddit and Youtube under restricted content.
Lesandro Guzman-Feliz Last Moments Video
Lesandro Guzman-Feliz’s gruesome death video went viral on Reddit.
The CCTV footage of June 20, 2018, shows that four vehicles chased Feliz for several blocks. Eventually, the teenager asked for help from a convenience store owner at Bathgate Avenue.
Unsure of the situation, the owner was initially reluctant to bestow the refuge. However, after sensing the sheer fear in the boy, he finally hid him behind the counter. Nonetheless, Feliz was spotted by one of the gang members and dragged out of the counter.
The clip shows that the members struck the victim multiple times with knives and machetes. After the attack, when Feliz tried to reenter the store, he was not allowed to reenter. It further shows that he stumbled out of the shop and tried to get to the nearest hospital before collapsing a few yards away from the entrance.
The content was so horrifying that the shopowner’s mother died of a heart attack shortly after viewing the video. At the same time, the owner had to undergo multiple therapies to get over the incident.
What did the Autopsy Report Show?
Lesandro Guzman-Feliz Autopsy report entailed that he passed away from the injuries.
Multiple wounds left no chance for the young man to survive. His body was later taken by the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the final examination.
The officer identified several knife stabs, and Machate hacks on Feliz’s body. But, the one that took his life was the slash on the neck. Apparently, one of the gang members (later identified as Martinez Estrella) struck the final blow behind his neck that left him lifeless.
On further inspection, the police found that Lesandro was entirely innocent and had no gang affiliation. He was allegedly murdered as the gang members mistook him for members of the rivalry gang.
Killers’ Names and The Final Verdict
Though 14 people aged from 18 to 29 were listed as gang members, only five of them received the highest punishment for the murder. The police disclosed Lesandro Guzman-Feliz’s lillers names as Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, Manuel Rivera, Elvin Garcia, Jose Muniz, and Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez.
While waiting for the trial, the convicts received multiple death threats from other gang members. As such, they even received maximum security from the jail and were separated from other prisoners.
During the trial, Lesandro’s mother quoted, “Just praying to God. Loving God”.
All of the four gang members were convicted of first-degree murder and second-degree murder. Likewise, they were also found guilty of gang assault and conspiracy.
The jury concluded that the killers brutally tortured Guzman before his demise. This was accounted as a base for first-degree murder.
