The producers of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 have put an end to rumors that Prakash Raj would replace Ananth Nag. Yes, Hombale Films has apparently confirmed that the two actors’ roles in the multilingual film are distinct.
Anant Nag is an Indian actor best known for his work in Kannada cinema. He has appeared in over 300 films, including over 200 Kannada films as well as Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi films.
He has appeared in theater productions, parallel cinema, and television shows.
While the filmmakers have credited every actor in the film, one name is missing from the teaser’s YouTube description. Anant Nag’s name isn’t on the list, which could imply that he won’t be in the film. That could be bad news for the actor’s legions of fans.
Why Is Anant Nag Not In KGF 2? Is He Leaving or Replaced?
Hombale Films announced last year that Prakash Raj had been cast in a key role. However, rumors circulated that he was stepping into the shoes of Ananth Nag, who played a narrator named Anand Ingalagi in the film.
Rumors circulated that Ananth had left the project due to creative differences with the creators. According to the poster, both roles are linked in some way because the characters share the same surname – Ingalagi.
While Ananth Nag plays a journalist, Prakash Raj plays an advocate in the Yash-starrer. It’s difficult to say how they’re connected in the storyline at this point.
On the other hand, there was a backlash from ring-wing supporters after the makers announced last year that Prakash Raj would play a key role in KGF 2. His political stance and comments had irritated BJP supporters.
As a result, they called for a boycott of the film and chastised the producers for bringing him on board.
