He was married to his first wife Betty Johnson and the couple shared five children together.

He walked out of the doors to buy a bike for his daughter and never returned or contacted the family.

Williams’s daughter Sabrina Williams says Richard was king only in his head and has accused the director of King Richard or ignoring the first 30 years of his life in the movie.

Sabrina said to The Sun, I think the title is completely over the top. He thinks he’s the king of the world, but no one that’s ever been around him thinks he’s King Richard. It is an outrageous title, but truth be told, it fits him.

Richard abandoned Sabrina and her four siblings when she was just 8 years old and one of her siblings was just 8 weeks old. She has spent her life in poverty while watching her father and his other kids become millionaires according to The Sun.

However, Sabrina did not actually revealed the reason for his father walking out and never returning.

Was Richard Williams Violent Or A Good Father?

Richard Williams was not a violent father but not necessarily a good one as well.

According to his daughter with his first wife Betty Johnson, he abandoned the family by simply walking out of the door and never returning.

Williams also allegedly broke his second wife’s ribs but she decided to protect him for the shake of their daughter’s career in tennis according to The Sun.
