Teddy Balkind Cause Of Death: Was It An Accident?
On January 6, Teddy Balkind fell on the ice during the ice hockey game. While he was on the ground, another player who was unable to stop in time collided after that skate sliced his neck.
The police said the game was promptly stopped, and he was rushed to Greenwich Hospital, where he later died from the injuries.
The head of Greenwich Police Department, Marc Zuccerella, said the gameplay was stopped and people dialed 911 while medical staff treated the sophomore hockey player until the ambulance arrived.
The officer also added that the hockey player did not survive the operation after arriving at the hospital. The opposing school Brunswick also released a statement following Balkind’s death.
