Sandra Aparecida Pereira lived in the Brazilian city of Camboriú. The 47-year-old was married to Anderson and the couple has a 26-year-old son. She worked as a financial manager at the Móveis Brasília store in the nearby city of Balneário Camboriú.
Tragically, Sandra had just celebrated her birthday on March 1 before the accident happened on March 6. Not much else is known about Sandra, who did not appear to have a presence on social media.
Anderson’s councilman and cousin Marcio Pereira told a local publication that Sandra was afraid of motorcycles. “She did not like motorcycles, no. It was the first time that she was going for a ride with him as if to make her will and, unfortunately, this tragedy happened.” Anderson loved riding his bike and reportedly managed to convince his wife to join him for the first time that day. The couple was enjoying a cruise on Anderson’s new Kawasaki Vulcan when the accident occurred.
Sandra suffered head injuries as a result of the accident and was airlifted to the nearby Marieta Konder Bornhausen Hospital. According to local media, she died after suffering two cardiac arrests.

The images of the accident were captured by another motorist. In it, Anderson is seen clinging to the door of the truck as the driver continues to accelerate down the road. The damaged bike is still glued to the front of the vehicle. 30 kilometers later, the truck was stopped with the help of the military police. The footage shows locals attacking the shirtless driver before police intervene.
Upon being detained, a pound of cocaine was found in the truck, according to G1 Santa Catarina. He is now reportedly detained at the Vale do Itajaí Penitentiary Complex.
Woman Dies as Truck Rams into Bike
A tragic incident saw a truck driver arrested after hitting a couple on a highway in southern Brazil on March 6. The driver has not yet been identified but was taken into custody after motorists found Anderson Pereira clinging to the door of the truck. It was later revealed that the truck collided with Anderson’s motorcycle, which he was driving with his wife Sandra at the time. Despite being injured, Anderson managed to cling to the truck for more than 30 kilometers before other drivers intervened.
Anderson is now recovering from his injuries, but tragically Sandra died as a result of the accident. After being stopped by others, the driver was stopped by locals until the police arrived. He has been arrested and is expected to be charged with murder. He was reportedly under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
Sandra’s tragic death was confirmed by a relative. She now has been buried in the central cemetery of Camboriú.
