Nikki discovered serenity and delight in the simple pleasures that most people take for granted, such as hiking, nature walks, and even visits to the zoo.

Nicole “Nikki” D. (Meyer) VanderHeyden was born in Manitowoc on March 29, 1985.
She graduated from Denmark High School in the year 2003. Nikki continued her study at U.W.G.B., earning a B.S. in Science and Education with a double major in 2010.
Likewise, she worked as a substitute teacher for the Green Bay Area Public School System for six years.
She was a natural person who enjoyed the outdoors and exercise, and she lived a life that was organic and holistic.

Nicole Vanderheyden Death Cause: What Happened To Her?
Burch, 40, was found guilty of first-degree intentional murder in March. On May 21, 2016, a jury was convicted guilty of strangling and beating VanderHeyden to death before discarding her body in a Bellevue farm field.
Although the conviction carries an automatic life sentence, Judge John Zakowski had to decide whether or not to grant him parole.
Even after all these years, it feels like the incident happened just yesterday.
An autopsy indicated two causes of death: strangulation and blunt force injuries to the head, after Vanderheyden’s naked corpse was discovered on May 21, 2016, along a tree line in a farm area off Hoffman Road in Bellevue. The medical examiner was unable to identify which of the injuries had occurred first.
She suffered 240 injuries, including facial injuries, a fractured jaw, injuries to the vaginal area that were suggestive of sexual assault, ligature strangling marks, and blunt force trauma.
Both in antemortem and postmortem, there were bruises all over her body. The head injuries were so severe that blood collected around the wounds, indicating that she was still alive during the assault.
Her skin had uneven forms and repeating zigzag lines, indicating that she had been struck with a blunt object.

Nikki was first and foremost a mother, committed to her children and constantly giving selflessly to ensure their safety and well-being.
Nikki is survived by her three little angels Mikayla, Tyler, and Dylan, her loving parents Vicki and Steve Meyer, one sister Heather Meyer, two brothers Brent Meyer and Brandon Meyer, one nephew Landon, her paternal grandmother Gayle (Dave) Picard, and special aunts and uncles Randy (Eilleen) Junk, Lynn (Steve) Krupka, David Meyer, Mark Meyer, and Teri (Jeff) Ebersol. She is also survived by her whole VanderHeyden family, as well as several more relatives and acquaintances.
Her maternal grandparents Ervin and Annette Junk, as well as her paternal grandfather Michael Meyer, predeceased Nikki.

As new parents of a 6-month-old kid named Dylan, they were in desperate need of a night out and had enlisted the help of Nikki’s mother to babysit until a friend named Dallas Kennedy could take over after her shift.
