Kirst died after spending ten seasons with the team, where he led a group that received six state titles in that span, plus the Group 2 title in May. He also served as an assistant girls basketball coach at Hanover Park.
Furthermore, Krist was a history teacher at Hanover Park and was charged with the role of head coach for the boy’s lacrosse team before taking a spot on Jim Davidson’s staff at Summit.
The former Rutger’s coach completed his graduation from Rutgers in 1990, where he played goalie for the men’s lacrosse team. May his soul rest in peace.
