Toy played Gnarl in an early Season 7 episode and recurred as the Ubervamp in four more episodes that season. He was also cast in the Buffy spin-off Angel playing a new character dubbed Prince of Lies.

Toy ultimately moved to Los Angeles, where he quickly became a fan favorite on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, playing some of the show’s most iconic monsters. He played The Gentleman in the show’s Emmy-nominated Season 4 episode Hush in 1999 and appeared in five episodes of the show’s seventh and final season.

He was so frequently in his heavy prosthetics for the show that star Sarah Michelle Gellar claimed she had never seen his actual face until a producer showed him a photo.
