Right-handed pitching prospect Xzavion Curry is set to make his MLB debut against the Detroit Tigers in the next match.
Xzavion Curry is an American professional baseball player currently under contract with the Cleveland Guardians.
He has been with the Guardians for a few years but has not got any opportunity to show his skills in the top league. But that moment is not that far away as the Cleveland-based franchise is set to give a debut to the right-handed pitcher in their upcoming MLB match against the Tigers.
Although Curry earned his selection in the 7th round of the MLB draft in 2019 from Georgia Tech, his career didn’t take steady progress as many would have thought. The pitcher suffered injuries in 2019, and the pandemic heavily hampered the following year.
As a result, Curry made his professional debut in 2021 and mostly played for Columbus Clippers, a triple-A affiliate of the Guardians. Seeing his steady development on the affiliate side, the MLB team has given him his first opportunity to impress the senior team and leave a mark in the top league.
