The child murderer was found unresponsive in Brisbane jail where he was serving his life sentence for killing his foster daughter.

Who Is Trent Thorburn, Rick Thorburn Son?

Trent Thorburn is the son of Rick Thorburn, who was charged with a life sentence for killing his foster daughter.

The foster brother of Tiahleigh Palmer, Trent Thorburn, who was freed from jail in 2018 after being found guilty of incest and other offenses, has now been discovered online by women using the online dating service.

The idea of the man hooking up with an unassuming woman who could be too young to remember his crimes has caused others to claim they feel “sick.”

After admitting guilt to having intercourse with his foster sister, Tiahleigh, who was 12 years old, Thorburn received a four-year prison term in 2017. The Courier Mail reports that he also admitted guilt to two counts of lying and attempting to sway the course of justice.

The judge considered time served in his sentence, and he was freed in January after completing 16 months of his jail term. Following being beaten by other prisoners during his first few days of imprisonment, he spent a significant amount of time in solitary confinement.

Where Is Trent Thorburn Today In 2022?

The foster brother of slain teenager Tiahleigh Palmer avoided jail time by robbing a Brisbane store of camping supplies.

Trent Jordan Thorburn, the son of child killer Rick Thorburn, pleaded guilty to counts of trespassing and stealing on Wednesday at Beenleigh Magistrates’ Court, but avoided conviction and was instead given a good behavior bond.

On the evening of June 25, seven people allegedly broke in and stole $5000 worth of equipment from a bin in a secure area outside the store. Thorburn was given a one-year, $1,000 good behavior bond. There was no conviction noted.

In 2017, for attempting to pervert the course of justice and two counts of perjury after pleading guilty to incest, he was given a four-year prison term with a five-year suspension. He was freed after spending 16 months in prison.

On Wednesday, Mr. Kilner concurred with the prosecution’s request to not trigger the remaining suspended sentence. Thorburn lied to the police about having a physical relationship with Tiahleigh, leading to the imposition of that suspended sentence.

Trent Thornburn’s father, Rick, killed a 12-year-old Australian girl in 2015. Six days later, her bones were discovered, and Rick Thorburn, her foster father, was accused of killing her.

Trent’s mother, Julene, and older brother, Joshua, were both charged with perjury and attempting to tamper with the course of justice and were later released on bail.

In his Brisbane jail cell, Rick Thorburn was discovered to be unconscious. The 62-year-old appeared “well” earlier in the morning, according to a statement from Queensland Corrective Services, but was discovered unconscious at about 8:30 am and rushed to the hospital.

According to the report, guards gave him first aid and collaborated with Queensland Health employees to keep him stable until paramedics arrived at the Wacol prison.

He was, at the time, alone in a cell. Authorities said Thorburn was expected to survive by Tuesday night.

In September 2020, Thorburn was discovered unresponsive in his cell.

The court determined that he killed Tiahleigh at the family’s Chambers Flats house, south of Brisbane, after his son Trent Thorburn admitted to having sex with her and worrying she was expecting.

Then, for almost a year, the family told lies to the police, saying the father had taken their daughter to school and they had never seen her again. An investigation concluded that he most certainly strangled her to death.
