The Conservative Party is looking into allegations that a Tory MP was watching a salacious video on his phone while sitting in the Commons chamber next to a female minister.
On Monday night, female Conservative MPs met with Chris Heaton-Harris to complain about sexism in the House of Commons, with one stating that a male colleague was watching pornography next to them.
The group of roughly 12 to 14 female MPs told Heaton-Harris that something needed to be done about sexist behavior among Tory male MPs. They also demanded that three cabinet members be investigated for allegedly engaging in improper sexual behavior.
Who Is The Tory MP Accused Of Watching Salacious Video In Commons?
The top whip of the Conservative Party is looking into accusations that a Tory MP was watching pornography on his phone in the Commons chamber.
In a statement made on Wednesday, the party’s whips office stated that “the chief whip is looking into this problem.” That behavior is said to be completely unacceptable, and the whip has stated that they will take strict action.
The charge is thought to have been made during a meeting of 2022 yesterday, a female grouping of Conservative backbench MPs from the 1922 group. The gathering was believed to have had between 50 and 60 female Conservative MPs in attendance.
Two people in the audience alerted Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris that they had seen an MP watch pornography in both the chamber and a committee.
According to the BBC, the event was brought up by a minister during a routine gathering of Tory MPs on Tuesday night. Her story was verified by another MP.
Accused Tory MP’s Twitter Name
Caroline Lucas, a Green Party MP, said at Prime Minister’s Questions that the Parliamentary authorities were investigating 56 MPs for sexual misconduct, including three cabinet ministers. She questioned Prime Minister Boris Johnson about whether sexual misbehavior might lead to removal under the ministerial code.
However, the name has not been revealed yet and netizens will have to wait until a reliable source comes out with further information. This time around strict privacy has been maintained in disclosing the name of the alleged.
Similarly, Twitter is actively discussing the possible names but all in vain at the moment. MP Zara Sultana showed her disgust through her tweet where she states the news about an MP getting caught watching an inappropriate video by a female colleague.
Another Twitterati says that Tory MP Imran Khan was this month found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15 year-old-boy, yet is in the MP seat, whereas when radio DJ Tim Westwood faces sexual misconduct allegations, he stepped down from Capital Xtra. She concluded that Tory Britain was where DJs were held to a higher standard than politicians.
