Irish comedian and television host Patrick Kielty was born in Northern Ireland on January 31, 1971. In his teenage years, Kielty demonstrated skill in the game of Gaelic football. From 1987 to 1989, he played for the Down GAA minor football team. Even during the team’s All Ireland Minor Football Championship victory in 1987, he filled in as the backup goalkeeper.
While attending Downpatrick’s St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Patrick Kielty started his entertainment career. Kielty began giving impersonations on a regular basis after being encouraged by a Games master who saw his talent. He began his professional career while a psychology student at Queen’s University Belfast.
Kelty has worked in radio in addition to his work in television, hosting programs on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.
Who Is The New Host of Late Late Show?
Ryan Tubridy’s replacement as host of RTÉ’s The Late Late Show is Patrick Kielty, the Irish broadcaster has announced.
Since its inception in 1962, the program has been hosted by four different people. It is one of the longest-running late-night discussion shows in the world.
In addition to being “absolutely thrilled,” Kielty described accepting the position as a “honor.”
