Who is Taylor Kinney?
Although her career began in 2006, TaylorKinney’s work has mostly been limited to a few roles. Many actors and actresses grow up knowing exactly what they want to do and spend their formative years in search of the above, but this is not the story of Taylor Kinney who went to college and studied business management.

A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Taylor grew up in Neffsville and attended Lancaster Mennonite School. In high school, he acted in a few plays but he didn’t believe much in a career option. So he studied business management at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

His career took off and he began appearing in several television shows, often making guest appearances or a few episodes as a recurring character. His biggest recurring role was on The Vampire Diaries where he played Mason Lockwood. He joined the show in 2010 and his role lasted until 2011. 2011 was a big year in Kinney’s career. He and Gaga brought a music video story to life when they struck up a relationship after Kinney made an appearance as Gaga’s love interest in her You and Me music video.
He landed a role on the show, Chicago Fire in 2012 as Lt. Kelly Severide. The show has two spin-offs, Chicago PD and Chicago Med. Kinney reprized his role in all three series but Kinney didn’t make much of an impact on the big screen.
Since his screen debut in White Air in 2007 he has only appeared in 12 films and the most notable entries are Zero Dark Thirty where he played Jared and The Other Woman where he played the role of Phil . So far, Kinney has appeared in over 40 movies and TV shows combined.
In 2012, he appeared in 5 episodes of the web series, My Future Self’s Dating Rules. To date, his career has seen just three award nominations in 2015, 2016, and 2017, all of which won People’s Choice Awards for his role in Chicago Fire as TV’s Favorite Dramatic Actor. He only won once.
