The show depicts Steve and Chrissie as mates who have an on-and-off sexual relationship with one another but were not married.

In his autobiography, ‘Lonely Boy,’ he claims that being mistreated as a youngster by his father transformed him into a sex addict. It prevented him from forming long-term and meaningful relationships.

Steve discusses indulging in sex practices with both men and women during his adolescence in his book.

“All I remember feeling immediately afterward was a bit perplexed – simply, ‘That was unusual,” he recounts of the attack in his bedroom at the family home in West London.

“However, the ramifications have stayed with me half a century later.” “I never told anyone about it for years, and it feels odd writing this in a book even today,” Steve continues.

“But understanding the harm, the disorientation I felt makes me want to let others in a similar circumstance know they’re not alone.”

“However, it was enough to send me spinning.” That’s why, in retrospect, I’ve never been able to settle down with anyone and became a sex addict.”

He tells to the Mirror that it had a significant impact on his “concept of normalcy.”

Was Steve Jones Ever Married To Chrissie Hynde? His Dating Timeline

No, Steve Jones was never married to Chrissie Hynde. However, the pair had a sexual relationship during their early years of friendship, particularly when the latter was working at Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren’s SEX boutique.

“When Chrissie was working at the shop, she’d close it down and we’d put Malcolm and Vivienne’s gospel of Sex into reality,” Steve writes in his memoirs, ‘Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol.’

Their romance, however, did not proceed to the point of marriage since they had no sentiments tied to it. Hynde, on the other hand, watched in awe as her friends’ careers in the Sex Pistols developed.

Hynde said in her memoir (per Ultimate Classic Rock) that she almost got married to another member of Sex Pistol. She was on the verge of being thrown out of the United Kingdom by 1976.

Her visa was about to expire, and she couldn’t find work without one. Desperate for assistance, Hynde appealed to her Sex Pistols mates. She asked vocalist John Lydon, a.k.a. Johnny Rotten if he would marry her in order for her to stay in the nation.

However, when they arrived, the registrar’s office was closed and the marriage did not happen.

Steve’s hunger rose as the Sex Pistols grew in popularity. “There was a lot of shagging going on at the time, at least on my part.” I’d attempt to get my end away whenever I could, generally in a cupboard, a restroom, or an alley around the rear of the theater.”

“The irony was that punk’s public attitude toward sex was highly negative. Punk birds, in general, didn’t appeal to me,” he said.

Steve slept with every one of his bandmates’ girlfriends, including Sid Vicious’s Nancy Spungen, according to The Mirror. He was either seeking girls or stealing at that time.

“Every day when I got up, I wondered, ‘What am I going to steal?'” recalls Steve.

Steve Jones’s Net Worth From Sex Pistols

Steve Jones has an estimated net worth of $8million according to Celebritynetworth. The English rock guitarist released two solo albums and collaborated with Johnny Thunders, Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, and Thin Lizzy, among others.

In 1995, he with members of Guns N’ Roses and Duran Duran created the short-lived supergroup Neurotic Outsiders. Jones was named 97th on Rolling Stone’s 2015 list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols (1977) and The Great Swindle of Rock ‘n’ Roll (1979) were two of his album with the Sex Pistols.

Steve now lives alone in his Los Angeles home and broadcasts a radio rock show. His matter-of-fact approach to his childhood maltreatment most likely conceals the depth of his distress.

It may also cast a new light on his controversial 1976 appearance on ITV’s Bill Grundy show.

The primetime swear-fest, which seems mild now, ended when Grundy, then 53, made a sexual comment to 19-year-old vocalist Siouxsie Sioux. Steve yelled over the other Sex Pistols that he was a “filthy old man” and a “dirty sod.”
