Semina Halliwell’s Death has shaken not only Merseyside but the entire world. People are infuriated in wrath, as to how can the police dissuade and conceal such a sensitive matter as the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Semina Halliwell, of Southport, was reportedly raped by an older boy after being groomed over Snapchat before her death on June 12, last year.
Her family has turned to SKynews to express their dissatisfaction with the Merseyside police and to seek justice. The Sefton, St Helens & Knowsley Coroner’s Service’s senior administrator informed Sky News that the first investigation was underway.
And that a full inquest into Semina’s death will be convened in due course.
What Happened To Semina Halliwell? 12 Years Old Rape Victim’s Death Shakes Merseyside
Semina Halliwell, a 12-year-old autistic rape victim, committed suicide when Merseyside police discouraged her from filing charges. Her death news and video are all over the internet as of now.
Halliwell’s mother claims she holds Merseyside Police liable for failing to investigate her concerns to Skynews. According to Skynews, she was raped by an older male who went to the same school as her and lured her through Snapchat into meeting him in secret.
Her mother, Rachel Halliwell, called the cops when she broke down and told them what had transpired after a serious incidence of self-harm.
However, investigators from Merseyside Police “made Semina feel like she was an inconvenience to them,” according to two family members present during questioning.
Furthermore, no charges were filed against the suspected offender who Semina mentioned. The main detective “sat there and started talking about all the papers he’d have to write in if she filed the complaint.
“And he made her worry about how long it would take him to fill out those documents,” says Rachel and Semina’s aunt Clare Halliwell.
According to Clare, the detective scared Semina it’s basically her word against his. He also emphasized the amount of time she would have to wait because the case would not be heard in court for 18 months to two years.
According to her family, Semina’s autism has already made it difficult for her to communicate with strangers. And the detective’s words further demotivated her and put her in a bewildering situation.
Furthermore, she was exposed to caustic online and offline criticism, as well as physical assaults, after reporting the event. Rachel stated that the family got threats that they would “have their skulls kicked in” if they approached the police.
And Semina was later recorded while being beaten at school. Semina along with her sibling was beaten up at school,” Rachel explained.
