Who is Sam Huff Wife Carol Holden And Their Children?
Carol Holden was the wife of football star Sam Huff.
In the late 1980s, Sam Huff divorced his wife Mary Helen Fletcher Huff, at the same time he fell in love with Carol Holden. Huff and Holden were both passionate about horses and licensed racehorse breeders. The current West Virginia Breeders Classics program may be traced back to the pair.
Huff, who was 82 years old at the time, was diagnosed with dementia, which might be Alzheimer’s or injury-related encephalopathy. Friends of Sam Huff accused Catherine Holden of not being in his life for the last 40 years, claiming he was duped. Holden took Catherine to court over the matter and won, allowing Huff to return home to his life partner.
Sam and Mary had three children, Joseph, Catherine Ann Huff, and Robert Jr., throughout the course of their marriage. Robert Jr. sadly died away in 2018.
Sam was also the proud grandfather of three grandkids and one great-grandchild.
“I met Lombardi on the airplane, going to the Super Bowl. I said, ‘You know, I’d still like to play.’ He said, ‘You think you can still play?’ I said, ‘I think I can.’ He said, ‘I need you to play.’ We made a deal that I would be a player-coach.” RIP #SamHuff #WashingtonFootball pic.twitter.com/4mx6t8EvoR
