Richard Rock is the son of the Irish musical Legend Dickie Rock.
In April, his family suffered a great tragedy when his mother, Judy, went to heaven at age 77 after losing her fight to Coivd.
The loss of their parents was enough as he felt he might lose his dad if he were not careful and let him be by himself.

With 13 top ten hits with the Miami Showband, he remained the first Irish artist to go straight to the number one spot with Every Step of the Way as he partook in the 1966 Eurovision Song Contest before going solo in 1973.
But his light diminished after the death of his wife, who passed away earlier in the year.
Sadly, this is not the first death in the Rock household, as the eldest son Joseph, who was born with special needs, passed away at 25 in 1992.

Seeing no alternatives, they returned home to Spain as she spent her last moments surrounded by her loved ones.
The grief of her demise has shattered the singer as the son fears he will not make the end of the year.
With over six decades of togetherness, there is no doubt she was the love of his life as even his children failed to dry his tears.
His inconsolable state persisted as the children got more worried.
Despite the hopelessness, he does his best to cheer on his father, encouraging him to get back on stage and rejuvenate his spirit.
Indeed, he still feels she should not have died if they did not travel to Ireland, as it was then that she got the disease.
