At 2 PM, a haphazard shooting led to two people getting killed and one injured at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The Atlanta police have arrested Raissa Kengne as a suspect who, surprisingly, has her professional life put out on the web. She is quite a successful woman, and the curiosity around what led to this is going high on social media platforms.
The two victims who died are Michael Shinners and Wesley Freeman.
Who Is Raissa Kengne? Atlanta Shooting Female Suspect
Raissa Kengne or Raissa Djuissi Kengne is a business transformation consultant. Upon further investigation of the case, the Atlanta suspect seems to have made the same claims in a lawsuit she filed in May against her former employer and other individuals.
Kengne claims that in a 407-page complaint, Kevin D. Reyes, an open source intelligence analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, discovered that her former employer colluded with her neighbors, her building management company, and her former attorneys to retaliate against her.
As per her Linkedin profile, she completed her high school diploma from Bard High School Early College Queens in 2016. Further, she majored in an associate degree in art and science for her Diploma. For her Master’s, she chose Community and Public Affairs at Concordia University.
Coming to her career background, she began with an internship at High Mountain Institute as a sustainability researcher in 2014. She then went to AGENCIA WOLKWAGENAGENCIA as a Lawsuit Policy Analyst. Few gigs here and then, and she joined Concordia University as a bilingual Project Coordinator, but that lasted only for two months. Currently, she is working at IBM as a business transformation consultant.
Victims Michael Shinners and Wesley Freeman – Incident Explained
Both Michael Shinners, 60, of Alpharetta, and Westley Freeman, 41, of Atlanta, died in the shooting that happened in Midtown today. While evacuating the scene, police got hold of Raissa and named her the major suspect in the case.
However, there is very little given out by the authorities as they say that the inquiry is still going on. The reason behind the shooting and the relationship between the two victims and the suspect is yet to be identified. They are still trying to figure out if the people were randomly chosen or if there was any specific motive behind the particular killings.
The Atlanta police have provided a statement, “We have an enormous amount of resources out at the scene. They have identification, so they’re in the process of locating the assailant.”
Similarly, Twitter is filled with people offering condolences to Michael and Westley, along with their parents. This was quite an unfortunate incident that has taken innocent lives.
