Psalm grew up in the small town of Mendocino, in a family with deep religious beliefs but who initially lived in a hippy commune, before moving to Los Angeles. This had a major effect on her growing up, since her parents wanted to repress her sexuality. However, she managed to escape the shackles of religion and discovered her sexuality later in life. This became her major focus once she reached adulthood, and since then she worked on improving sexual lives, not just of modern women, but also dedicating her life to freeing repressed women of Calcutta, doing all in her power to help them achieve all benefits of sexuality.

Aside from sex teachings, she has also created yoga courses; some of those courses include the OYoga technique, which combines belly dancing, burlesque, and yoga. However, before she found her happiness and success, Psalm was a 30-pound overweight single mother with drug, alcohol and other life problems. She ended in an emergency hospital department one night, but once she got out, she decided to change her life around 180 degrees. She managed to successfully incorporate Tantra into her life, and build everything from scratches. Little by little, her teachings began to garner an audience, which over time became larger and larger, steadily increasing the number of her followers. Her work with Calcutta women was showcased in the documentary “Shakti”, which only added to her wealth. Also, most recently, she was featured as an expert in the reality series “Cougar Club” on Playboy TV, and “Modern Sex” on Buzzfeed, both in 2016.

Regarding her personal life, throughout her life Psalm did all she could to keep her most intimate details hidden from public eyes. However, her poor relationship with her parents surfaced, and her sexual trauma, with all other unpleasant events in her life. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been discovered who is the father of her son, and whether she was married or not. Clearly it wasn’t all a fun life for Psalm; she was suffering from depression before discovering yoga and becoming sex expert, and she again started experiencing symptoms of depression, which eventually led to her suicide on the 26th March 2017; she was 42 years old. She is survived by her son.
