In 2004, when Nate’s father Rod, mother Char, and his then 19-year-old girlfriend Leslie Hofmeister returned to their home in Nebraska after watching Lashley’s NCAA West Regional game through flight, they encountered bad weather soon turned into a tragedy.
Rod was piloting the small plane while it crashed in Wyoming. The young golfer and the family members waited for three days after they went missing praying for the best possible news. But rescuers found the wreckage of a single-engine aircraft around a mile away from Gannett Peak, along with three corpses.
Lashley might have been shattered as he lost his dearest from his life. He was a young lad pursuing his career, but the tragedy hit him hard. As a result, the accident held him back; he just played mini-tours and was involved in a real state.
Although it’s been almost two decades, Nate still does not like to discuss the darkest day of his life, when he lost the three most important people of his life within a glimpse.
