Who is Lil Poopy, who are the parents, how old is he? Here are the facts

Lil Poopy is in his teens and is already banging about coke and kicking the buttocks of women old enough to be his mother in the music videos. Make no mistake, there’s nothing stopping you from starting your rap career. Lil Bow Wow, Lil Romeo and other “lils” have done very well, but the controversy that Lil Poopy has started in such a short time has caused many to focus on all the things he does wrong.

Either way, Lil Poopy seems to be becoming his fanbase. He hit with big names like Puff Daddy and posed for pictures with 50 Cents. Her Instagram followers seem to be growing by 100,000 every year. He had $300,000 at the end of 2015 and $400,000 at the end of 2017. Here are the facts about the young rapper’s life and career.

Who is Lil Poopy, how old is he?

Lil Poopy is an American rapper born as Luis Rivera, Jr. on February 15, 2003 at Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. The story goes that his rap name, Lil Poopy, was inspired by pissing off his dad every time he tried to change him.

When you’re raised in a neighborhood where it’s only natural that gangsters love what they do. The same goes for Lil Poopy, who started rapping at a very young age and released his very first song called “Ima Cokeboy” when he was 9 years old. He gained wide recognition for his remix of the French song “Pop That” from Montana. Poopy partly explains that coke is not a bad word but only a reference to Coca-Cola/Soda.

He gained even more traction due to his appearance on the Lifetime reality series The Rap Game The show which is hosted by rapper Jermaine Dupri features aspiring rappers who compete for the chance to get into a professional career in hip-hop.

Lil Poopy didn’t win the show, but his age and persona got him plenty of attention from already established rap acts, primarily French Montana. He recorded a video with Frenchman Montana for his Pop That Remix and joined the Montana Coke Boys crew. Coke Boys is a name given to rappers signed to Montana’s Cocaine City Records label. However, after the controversies surrounding Lil Poopy mounted, Montana seemed to distance himself from him. While visiting Philadelphia’s Power 99 radio, French revealed that he never signed Poopy to his label.

Lil Poopy beat Rick Ross in Stay Path. He has a song called Lil Poopy whose video was removed from YouTube. This was after authorities opened investigations into his family after they perceived his behavior in his videos filmed at strip clubs to be inappropriate.

Reports surfaced in August 2016 that Lil Poopy had signed a four-year deal with Epic/Sony Records. The information, however, was tampered with by Billboard after the music site confirmed to Laura Swanson, Epic’s executive vice president of media and strategic development, that a deal was never signed. LA Reid, the brand’s chairman and CEO, took to Twitter to doctor the reports in a rather cryptic message.

Since then, Lil Poopy hasn’t been signed to any record label, well, not at the time of this writing. The young rapper even says so in his Instagram bio part where it says “Unsigned”. Lil Poopy is pursuing his dream of becoming a rapper while in college.

Who are his parents?

Lil Poopy was born to parents Luis Rivera Sr and Jatoy Rivera. His father appeared as his father figure in The Rap Game. After his controversial music videos caught the attention of authorities, his father, Luis Rivera, also known as Fat Louie, was investigated for child abuse. However, the charges were later dropped.

In June 2016, Lil Poopy’s father made headlines when he was among 60 people arrested in a federal raid and charged with drug and firearms trafficking. The events following the arrest are unknown to the media.
