Annette Davis and Mike Clarkson are the parents of Jordan Clarkson. His father is an American-African man who worked as a human resources manager for the Air Force Personnel Center.

Clarkson was talked into playing for the Philippine national team in 2011. On the other hand, Clarkson could not match the FIBA eligibility standards to be considered a Filipino citizen because he received his Philippine passport after age 16.
Nevertheless, he can play as a “naturalized” player. Clarkson has held a Philippine passport since the age of 12, so he didn’t have to go through the citizenship process to represent his country in international events.
