Jessica Berman has been named the National Women’s Soccer League’s next commissioner.
She was the National Lacrosse League’s deputy commissioner and executive vice president of business affairs for the preceding two and a half years.
On April 20, she will begin her four-year tenure as commissioner.

Berman’s appointment as commissioner comes only one month after the NWSL Players Association approved the League’s first collective bargaining agreement.
