Just after midnight on Monday, 27 June 2022, according to Akron police, they tried to pull over Walker’s automobile for a traffic infraction and equipment problem. Walker, however, led the police on a fast chase down East Tallmadge Avenue in the direction of State Route 8.
Police said Walker fired a gun at one point. One casing was discovered in Walker’s vehicle, according to sources, and a second was discovered on a road close to Route 8, they add.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal’s analysis of an investigative worksheet at the medical examiner’s office, “Walker was spotted flat on his back and was in handcuffs when a medical examiner investigator arrived at the gunshot scene.”
