Isla Lang Fisher Wiki Biography

Isla Lang Fisher, born on the 3rd of February 1976, is an Australian author and actress, who became popular through her roles in the movie “Wedding Crashers” and “Confessions of a Shopaholic”.

So how much is Fisher’s net worth? As of mid-2016, it is reported by authoritative sources to be over $20 million, acquired from her long career as an actress, and the sales of her book.

Isla Fisher Net Worth $20 Million

Born in Muscat, Oman, Fisher is the daughter of Elspeth and Brian. From Muscat, their family moved to Scotland until finally they decided to set up their home in Perth, Western Australia where Fisher grew up. Early on Fisher’s talent in acting became evident, participating in various commercials and school plays at a very young age. She continued her passion for acting while attending Swanbourne Primary School and Methodist Ladies’ College.

Fisher’s early projects included the children’s shows “Bay City” and “Paradise Beach”. While acting, she also wrote on the side with the help of her mother; she wrote two best-selling novels for teens – “Bewitched” and “Seduced to Fame”. The sales of her books and her early projects as a kid already helped her jump start her net worth.

In 1994, her big break in Australian television came when she was cast in the soap opera “Home and Away”, playing the role of Shannon Reed, on which she worked with Hollywood actors Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts. Her performance in the show even earned her a nomination as Most Popular Actress in the Logie Awards in 1996. After four years, she left the show and flew to Paris to enrole at the Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre, where she studied pantomime, clown and commedia dell’arte.

After Paris, Fisher continued her acting career though she had a hard time making it big. In 2002, she was cast to join the film “Scooby-Doo” to play the love interest of Shaggy, but although her comedic timing was great and the movie performed well at the box office, Fisher still had difficulty time making it in Hollywood.

In 2005, Fisher got her big break in Hollywood when she was cast in the comedy film “Wedding Crashers” alongside Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. The movie became a box office success that in turn helped her net worth and her career.

After “Wedding Crashers”, opportunities in Hollywood started pouring in – some of her most memorable films include “The Wedding Daze”, “Hot Rod”, “Definitely, Maybe”, “Confessions of a Shopaholic”, “The Great Gatsby”, “Burke and Hare” and “Now You See Me”. The string of successful movies under her belt immensely helped increase her net worth, and also made her one of the most sought-after leading ladies in Hollywood.

Today, Fisher is still active in Hollywood with the movie “Grimsby”, and the television show “Arrested Development” as one of her most recent projects.

In term of her personal life, Fisher has been married to actor Sacha Baron Cohen since 2002, and together they have three children.

Quote
1 I love acting, love it. It’s the greatest fun in the world. I’ve always had no trouble feeling extremely grateful. So even though, comparatively, I wasn’t doing so well, I thought I was on top of the world.
2 [After she gives birth] There is no way I am going to worry about missing out on work or the pressure to lose weight. At the moment I am not even planning any work.
3 I always liked Elvis Presley when I was younger – I told anyone who would listen that I was going to marry that man. I didn’t realize then that he had died.
4 I’ve never had a good-looking boyfriend, well, in the stereotypical way. A lot of people find someone attractive that others don’t. Otherwise, all our men would be taken by Claudia Schiffer!
5 All I know is that I’ve ruled out wearing fairy wings. When I was nine I wanted to get married in fairy wings, and now I realize that’s not cool anymore.
6 Am I a romantic at heart? Who knows.

6 She almost drowned during shooting a scene for Now You See Me (2013), in which she performed in a piranha tank. The top of the tank remained opened so that Fisher would be able to swim to the top to get some air, and there was also an emergency lever inside the tank that, if pulled, would alert the crew that she needed help. During one take, Fisher was running out of air and tried to swim to the top, but the chains on the handcuffs she was wearing got stuck on the bottom of the tank, so she was unable to swim to the top or pull the lever. She then attempted to alert the crew by hitting the glass of the tank, but since her character is supposed to be panicked and scared in the scene, the crew thought she was acting. The stunt coordinator finally realized that something was wrong after he noticed that her handcuffs were stuck.
7 Was once engaged to Darren Day.
8 Returned to work 12 months after giving birth to her daughter Elula to begin filming Bachelorette (2012).

Busta Rhymes’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Busta Rhymes Net Worth: Busta Rhymes is an American rapper who has a net worth of $20 million. After a long and impressive career, Busta Rhymes has become one of the most celebrated figures in the world of hip-hop. He is especially well-known for his fast rapping style and his intricate lyrics. Many critics have called him one of the greatest MCs of all time. Over the course of his career, Busta Rhymes has been nominated for 11 Grammys. Outside of music, he has found success as an actor as well. Early Life: Busta Rhymes’ real name is Trevor George Smith Jr. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City on May 20th of 1972 to Jamaican-born parents. During his youth, Trevor moved around quite a bit with his family. At the age of 12, the family relocated to Long Island. The Smiths then moved to the United Kingdom, where Trevor lived in Liverpool for a period of time. Trevor Smith Jr. then moved back to the United States, where he attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School for the next stage of his secondary education. Smith’s fellow classmates included The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z. Smith eventually relocated once again to Long Island and graduated from high school there in 1991. Career: Before Smith had graduated from high school, he joined the hip-hop crew Leaders of the New School in 1990. Eventually, the Long Island-based group gained notoriety by becoming the opening act for Public Enemy. When Leader of the New School Collaborated with Public Enemy, Chuck D gave Smith the name “Busta Rhymes” for the first time, naming him after NFL player George “Busta” Rhymes. Eventually, Busta Rhymes became the most popular member of the group, largely owing to the Jamaican influences on his rapping style and public image. By 1992, the group had split up, and Busta Rhymes began his solo career. He started by collaborating on singles with established artists such as Notorious B.I.G., KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest, and others. During these years, he steadily built material for his upcoming debut album. After releasing the hit “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check,” he dropped his first studio album, The Coming. This represented Busta Rhymes’ breakthrough as a solo artist. In 1997, he followed up with the album When Disaster Strikes, which contained the hit “Fire It Up.” By this point, he was one of the most successful rappers in the world with a net worth to match. Further success came with his next album, Extinction Level Event. Although Busta Rhymes was previously signed to Elektra Records, he switched to J Records after releasing the 2000 album Anarchy. After releasing a greatest hits album with J Records, Busta Rhymes recorded his next album, Genesis, in 2001. Although the album featured well-known artists like Pharrell and P. Diddy, it did not perform as well as Busta Rhymes’ previous entries. 2002 was seen as a moderate success for the rapper with the release of It Ain’t Safe No More. Busta Rhymes returned to form in 2007, and the album The Big Bang reached the top spot on the charts – a first for the rapper’s career. Busta Rhymes then penned a new record deal with Universal Motown, which led to the release of his eighth album, Back on My B.S. The album was banned by various Islamic and Arab nations due to the fact that Busta Rhymes quoted the Shahada. In particular, the single “Arab Money” was seen as disrespectful to Arabs by various groups. In 2011, Busta Rhymes collaborated on the single “Look at Me Now” with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. The single became his most successful track in terms of the charts, reaching the number six spot. Not long afterward, Busta Rhymes signed with Cash Money Records. He later released his ninth album for free on Google Play during 2012. The album was entitled Year of the Dragon and featured Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and others. When Universal Motown went defunct, Busta Rhymes moved to Universal Republic. When Universal Republic went defunct as well, he moved once again to Republic Records. In 2014, Busta Rhymes also left Cash Money Records. In 2019, he announced that he was working on a new album with Dr. D.R.E. Acting: Busta Rhymes began his acting career soon after embarking on his solo music career. He started with the film Strapped in 1993, and then followed up with another role in 1995’s Higher Learning. He also booked roles in films such as Finding Forrester, Halloween: Resurrection, and Breaking Point. Personal Life: Busta Rhymes has six children, whom he fathered from a period spanning from 1993 to 2006. He is also a member of The Five-Percent Nation. Among other things, this group believes that white people are “devils” who were artificially created 6,000 years ago by a rogue black scientist called Yakub. Legal Issues: Over the course of his career, Busta Rhymes has dealt with a multitude of legal issues. In 2006, he was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after attacking a man in New York City. In 2007, Busta Rhymes was charged with assault again, and this time it involved an incident with his former driver. Allegedly, the disagreement was over back pay owed by Busta Rhymes. That year, he was also arrested for driving while impaired. He also did not have his driver’s license on him at the time. Busta Rhymes was subsequently given three years of probation, community service, fines, and mandatory enrollment in a drunk driving program. Financial Issues: In May 2014, it was revealed that Busta Rhymes owes $789,577 in back taxes. The IRS claims that Busta failed to pay $611,000 in taxes for 2008 and $178,000 for 2012. At the time, the rapper did not comment on whether this was a small misunderstanding or an indication of a larger financial problem.
