Ilham Omar (democratize party) is an American politician serving as the US House, representing Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District since January 3, 2019, and her current term ends on January 3, 2023.
Omar is the first Somali American and the first African citizen birth in the United States Congress. She is also one of the first two Muslim women (after Rashida Tlaib) to serve in congress.
