In a recent TikTok video, Gena revealed her diagnosis to her TikTok followers. She claimed, “I was homeless in New York City at the time, and I was sexually assaulted a couple of times,” explaining how she is thought to have contracted the virus roughly ten years ago.
In the video, Gena said that she didn’t discover she had AIDS until she saw a doctor due to unexpected weight loss, nausea, and acute exhaustion.
She claimed that the results were positive when the doctor tested her for HIV. She was identified as having AIDS, an advanced form of HIV infection. She developed the wasting syndrome, a condition referred to as an “AIDS-defining disease,” along with a low white blood cell count.
Tew has not yet provided the general public with any information on the malware or the identities of those who may be at risk.
