Quote
1 Young people are so often dissed by the media.
2 I’ve often been the guy who doesn’t get the girl.
3 To go to the White House is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. In fact, the building is not that big.
4 On Elizabeth McGovern: It’s the third time we’ve played husband and wife. We did a show called Thursday the 12th, which was a political thriller-type thing. I was only in it very, very briefly as her husband. And we did a short-lived comedy, probably one of my favorite shows I’ve ever done, called Freezing, about an actress called Elizabeth McGovern who comes to live in London rather than follow her Hollywood career.
5 On Elizabeth McGovern: It’s “complete coincidence” that they were cast together in Downton. (Downton Abbey (2010)).
6 I have an excellent internal compass.
7 I certainly couldn’t run a big country house, nor could I organize the greatest show on earth.
8 I always try to look for the best in most places.
9 I love doing comedy.
10 I’ve had people come up to me in the past and say they enjoyed whatever show I’ve been in.
11 I had girlfriends, but settling down was the last thing on my mind.
12 I do realize how incredibly lucky I am.
13 A typical Christmas is me shucking oysters. I love them and I always get them in at Christmas.
14 Am I athletic? In my dreams.
15 After World War II, the major estates really did collapse.
16 At 19, you know everything; by the time you’re 40, you haven’t got a clue.
17 I’d love to retire somewhere like Winchester, where you have one foot on the pavement but a sense of being in the country as well.
18 Everyone at some point in their lives feels excluded and misunderstood.
19 At home I have a Tibetan terrier. I’m still not sure if he’s a genius or very thick. It’s a fine line.
20 When you are in the eye of the storm, you are often not aware of the whiplash around you.
21 [on the appeal of Downton Abbey (2010)] It’s Breaking Bad (2008) with tea instead of meth.
22 [on the universal popularity of ‘Downton Abbey’] We have a word in England: gob-smacked. I don’t know if it translates. Overwhelmed is an understatement.
Fact
1 Is occasionally mistaken for fellow British actor Colin Firth and Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler and biographer.
2 Starred in Cloaca at London’s Old Vic Theatre. [November 2004]
3 Has acted in both the Doctor Who franchise and the Eon James Bond franchise.
4 Counts Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000) and Rev. (2010) among his favorite TV sitcoms.
5 Speaks French.
6 Trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, whose alumni include Minnie Driver, Matthew Goode, Julian Fellowes, Rupert Friend, Sue Johnston, Angela Lansbury, David Macmillan, Julia Ormond and Terence Stamp.
7 Described Iris (2001) co-star Kate Winslet as “a force of nature.”

Ursula Andress’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Ursula Andress Net Worth: Ursula Andress is a Swiss-American actress and sex symbol who has a net worth of $25 million. Throughout her career she was widely recognized as a “Bond girl,” for appearing in the very first James Bond movie, Dr. No. She was awarded a Golden Globe Award for her efforts. She would later star in the parody-based film, Casino Royale, as Vesper Lynd. For her role as Honey Rider, Andress wore the iconic white bikini that was equipped with a belt, and a knife. The look is widely recognized in pop culture, specifically of her walking out of the ocean. Andress herself is quoted as saying that the bikini helped advance her career and allowed her to essentially have her pick of film roles after Dr. No’s release. Andress was romantically linked to James Dean when she was just 19 years old, in 1955. She was then married to actor and director John Derek in 1957, though the pair divorced in 1966. She was in a long-term relationship with actor Harry Hamlin, with whom she had a son, Dimitri, in 1980. After Dimitri’s birth, Andress started taking on fewer acting roles in order to concentrate on being a mother.
