Who Is Faye Yager From Children of The Underground? FX’s New Docuseries Sheds A Light On Child Molestation

Faye Yager is a mother who dedicated her life to creating an underground network for women striving to shield their kids from the heinous crimes of sexual abuse.

She could not protect her young daughter from being sexually abused by her father. However, Faye’s work brought the issue of molestation of children into the national spotlight and purportedly saved numerous girls from danger.

The documentary Children of the Underground gets to grip with the controversies and complications of women fighting for children’s rights in America. The Children of the Underground premieres on August 12, showcasing precisely what happened to the women who had run out of options and went into hiding for the safety of their loved ones.

Who Is Faye Yager From Children of The Underground?

Faye Yager is 44 years woman who was the force behind an underground network that hid thousands of abused children from the legal system that often delivered them to their abusers. According to the information on the internet, Faye was motivated to begin such an underground community after the court sent her daughter back to her abusive father.

Faye created a network of safe houses for mothers and children when the court decided not to remove custody from the abusive father. She named the network: Children of Underground so as not to let what happened to her and her daughter occur to anyone else.

Faye began an underground railroad to help mothers and their kids escape the men who harmed them. As per the documentary, Yager’s method of advocating for non-custodial parents to kidnap their children to save them and help families disappear to start new identities was extreme.

Where Is Faye Yager Today?

Yager was in suburban Marietta, Georgia, when she went on trial after being accused of emotional cruelty and kidnapping to the children she was supposed to help. However, the information about where she lives is yet to be known.

Mrs. Yager, the daughter of a West Virginia coal miner, is now married to an Atlanta doctor. She is now facing trial and might face a sentence of up to 60 years in prison, although neither side expects that the maximum penalty would be imposed if she was convicted.

The documentary Children of Underground depicts Yager as a crusader and casts her organization as the byproduct of a criminal justice system destined to let down children in these circumstances because sexual abuse allegations were sent to the family court that was ill-equipped to handle such criminal charges.

Faye Yager’s Husband And Daughter

Faye was raised in a rural West Virginia enclave, married Roger Jones at age 17, and had a daughter Michelle. According to Faye, her daughter Michelle was molested by her ex-husband, and when she filed the charge against it, she was put on trial and eventually lost custody of her daughter.

Faye is currently married to Howard Yager, a doctor from Atlanta, and lives with him. However, there is no transparent information that says where she resides. But we can assume that she is somewhere from Georgia as her trial is taking place in the court of Georgia.

Faye married Durham as her second husband after ending her relationship with Roger. Later she decided to divorce Durham because his background was always used against her,

According to sources, Faye’s daughter lives in Atlanta, where she works in an auto body shop and hangs out with mechanics and construction workers.
