Who Is Dr Caitlin Bernard? Obgyn From Indiana Treated The 10 Year Old Abused Girl Abortion Case

The Columbus Dispatch reported on Wednesday that Columbus police had detained a 27-year-old man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old who had traveled to Indiana late last month for an abortion.

A story about a 10-year-old sexual assault victim who traveled from Ohio to Indiana for abortion has gained a lot of media attention and was even furiously retold by President Biden at a press conference last Friday on the subject of abortion.

However, the story’s lone source has declined to respond to crucial queries that could establish whether the information is accurate or not.

Similar to this, Dr. Caitlin Bernard has consistently declined to respond to questions from the media concerning important details of her assertions.

Who Is Dr. Caitlin Bernard? Her Wikipedia Bio

Obstetrician and gynecologist Caitlin Bernard, MD, has completed a family planning fellowship. In addition to normal obstetrics and gynecology, her clinical interests include contraception, abortion, and miscarriage care.

Her research interests include enhancing access to contraception and figuring out how to reduce unplanned pregnancies and enhance pregnancy outcomes. Through the AMPATH/IUSM-Kenya collaboration, she has worked in Kenya for the last four years.

The established abortionist came to fame after her case of taking the abortion case of a 10-year-old Ohio girl. Citing the Roe Vs Wade case ban, it quickly became a topic of discussion as a moral ethic came into account for the sexually assaulted young child who was pregnant. Many people protested against the ban, while the young girl had to go to Indiana for treatment.

Likewise, she is involved in care, education, and research initiatives there that include enhancing access to contraception, providing care for women in the first trimester of pregnancy, and enhancing maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Caitlin Bernard Obgyn Form Indiana Took Abused 10 Year Old Girl Abortion Case

An Ohio colleague had called Caitlin Bernard, an OB-GYN in Indianapolis, two days earlier to say that a pregnant 10-year-old was just past Ohio’s six-week restriction for abortions and needed assistance.

According to the story, the girl left immediately for Indianapolis.

From the explanation, the ten-year-old girl who got pregnant was sexually assaulted and impregnated.

The Roe v. Wade ruling was overruled by the US Supreme Court on June 24, but consensual incest is not exempt under Ohio’s abortion statute, which went into force shortly after.

Just two days prior to the new limits going into effect, on June 22, the mother of the Ohio kid reported her maltreatment to Franklin County Children’s Services, according to The Dispatch.

According to the newspaper, she had an abortion on June 30 in Indianapolis.

It is anticipated that Indiana will enact its own abortion laws, eliminating that choice for future children of Ohio who become pregnant.

The worst-case situation occurred. Following the rejection of Roe v. Wade, Ohio, a “trigger law” state, enacted a six-week abortion restriction.

Three days later, news broke that a 10-year-old state resident who had been sexually assaulted as a child and had been molested and became pregnant at the age of nine was unable to get an abortion.

According to the Ohio attorney general, despite the fact that state law mandates that a “child abuse doctor” notify law enforcement of any suspected child sexual assault cases, there is no indication that this has happened anywhere in the state.

Furthermore, Bernard won’t reveal whether she followed state law’s requirements and submitted reports to Indiana’s child services and health departments.
