DJ’s parents and girlfriend revealed that they were devastated that he got rejected. His mother revealed that DJ is not an anti-vaxxer, but is concerned due to his current heart condition. However, his father David revealed that DJ was an anti-vaxxer.
DJ does not have a wife as he is not yet married. However, he has a girlfriend, Heather Dawson, with whom he has two beautiful children.

DJ had been in the hospital since November 2021 due to a hereditary heart condition. His condition causes his heart and lungs to fill with fluid and blood. He needs a heart transplant.
The doctors at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, stated that DJ is ineligible for the transplant as he is not yet vaccinated against COVID-19. He had open-heart surgery on Tuesday to fit in a mechanical heart pump which will lengthen his life by five years.
