Deanna Barilaro is best known as the ex-wife of Giovanni Domenic “John” Barilaro, a former Australian politician.
He served as the 18th deputy premier of New South Wales. From 2016 to 2021, John was the leader of the New South Wales division of the National Party. He has also served as the Minister for Small Business and Regional Development.

In December 2021, it was known that John Barilor was dating his former long-time media adviser, Jennifer Lugsdin.
According to her LinkedIn bio, she served at Investment NSW on a contract between August and December. The former politician stated that Jennifer had a short-term contract with the agency that ended in December.
Jennifer began her career as communications manager for the Liberal Party of Australia member John Alexander. Later, she joined the Oxford Falls Grammar School as the Marketing and Community Development Manager.
Barilaro recommended Jennifer for the role at Investment NSW in a phone conversation with Amy Brown, an agency boss, in August last year. The former politician recently said he did not remember the phone call and said he was not in a relationship with her at the time.
