Who Is David Evans From Duke Lacrosse Case?
David Evans was one of the many lacrosse players present at the Duke University-owned house party at 610 North Buchanan Boulevard.
The athlete had invited two strippers that night with whom some of the lacrosse players got into a heated argument. The reason behind the debates involved the two strippers’ race as African-American women and other sexual derogatory terms.
David was one of the frontmen in the party who had handled the situation and asked people to leave the house regarding the verbal altercation.
As David was a regular lacrosse player for the uni team and a house resident, the DNA sample instigated his arrest. WRAL reported that David always maintained his statement as an innocent man in this case.
However, the Durham County district attorney’s involvement taints the Duke lacrosse players as He conspired with the DNA lab director to withhold DNA test evidence that could have acquitted David and the two others.
