Who Is Dallas Love Field Airport Portia Odufuwa: The Woman Shot After Opening Fire There

This past Monday morning, a woman pulled out a gun inside the Dallas Love Field Airport and began shooting up at the ceiling.

The authorities identified the culprit as 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa. According to witnesses, the woman began yelling about her marriage as she shot up at the ceiling.

Sources say that her shooting halted flight operations for several hours, and frightened witnesses ran and hid while looking on as the woman kept yelling profanities at no one in particular. Luckily, as soon as she started shooting, she was confronted by office workers within 20 minutes and shot in her lower extremities.

The airport stated that authorities then took Odufuwa to the Parkland Memorial Hospital, and since her wounds were not fatal, she is said to have survived.

Who Is Portia Odufuwa: Shot After Opening Fire On Dallas Love Field Airport

This arrest isn’t the first time Portia Odufuwa has appeared on the news.

Back in 2019, Odufuwa was accused of robbing a bank in Wylie and arrested while attempting to flee on foot. According to the employees in the bank, Odufuwa handed them a note demanding money and ran off after she received the money.

The police arrived at the scene almost immediately, and a short foot chase ensued. Odufuwa was immediately caught, and although it isn’t known what she was charged for the crime, it’s three years later, she’s out and even brandishing a gun.

Given that this recent airport shooting is her second known offense in just three years shows that whatever she is to be charged with now probably won’t end with her being out of prison any time soon.

Portia Odufuwa Shot And Taken To Hospital

The authorities identified Portia Odufuwa as the culprit right away.

Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that someone dropped Odufuwa at the airport before 11 A.M. Once she was inside, she changed her clothes into a hoody and other clothes than what she had arrived in. Afterward, she pulled out a gun and fired several shots toward the ceiling.

The Dallas Chief of Police, Eddie Garcia, further noted that the police don’t know where exactly Odufuwa was aiming, but that police found several rounds in the ceiling. They’ve stated the investigation is still ongoing, and the Chief said that he expects elements to change as they learn more about what is happening.

According to witnesses on the scene, Odufuwa walked in and shouted out that she had an announcement to make. Then, she stated that her husband was cheating on her and started opening fire.

The surrounding crowd immediately started running off. Colby James, a witness, mentioned that the woman fired at least 10-12 more shots after the initial shot. Odufuwa’s actions made the entire airport panic and caused flight delays and many people to fear for their lives.

Portia Odufuwa Ethnicity

Portia Odufuwa appears to be mixed.

However, the exact contents of her mixed ethnicity are not known. Given her last name, she appears to have African roots, so she is a light-skinned African American.

Not much else is known about Odufuwa’s ethnicity. Her nationality is also America, judging from the fact that she was able to make it deep into the airport, where one has to have a passport to enter.

The most we know about Portia Odufuwa is that she is married.

Her marital problems cause her to end up in this situation. Her shooting at the airport was a precursor to her envisioned murder of her husband.
