OT In a 2022 NFL mock draft, Charles Cross is projected to be the first overall pick.
For months, Mississippi State offensive lineman Charles Cross has been expected to be a first-round choice in the 2022 NFL Draft, but others believe he is the best player in the draft.
Pro Football Focus’s Seth Galina posted his mock draft this morning, and he has Cross going first overall to the Jaguars.
Also, this is significant news for both the Cross and the Bulldogs program as a whole: no Mississippi State player has ever been selected first overall in the NFL Draft. The Baltimore Colts picked linebacker Johnie Cooks second overall in the 1982 draft, making him the highest draft choice in school history.
