Actor Caleb Mclaughlin was born on October 13, 2001, in Carmel Hamlet, New York, to his loving parents April McLaughlin and Corey McLaughlin.

He was raised alongside his siblings Corey McLaughlin Jr., Caitlyn McLaughlin, and Crystal McLaughlin.

Born in Carmel Hamlet, Carmel holds American nationality and belongs to the African-American ethnicity. As a child, Caleb got his first role in the opera Lost in the Stars in Cooperstown, New York at the Glimmerglass Opera House.

He got his first starring role as Young Simba on Broadway from 2012 to 2015. Caleb then went on to have guest-starring roles in television series such as Unforgettable, What Would You Do?, and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
