Big Joe Ellicott was a Florida-based radio host connected to Rep. Matt Gaetz.
He pleaded guilty in a deal that could see him give evidence against the controversial congressman in a sex-trafficking investigation.
The report indicated that Big Joe’s plea deal requires cooperating in other ongoing investigations.
In exchange, Ellicott will have an opportunity to receive a significantly reduced sentence.
While Greenberg is not named as of now, according to court documents, unsealed overnight.
Big Joe is set to plead guilty to working with a “government official” who assumed office in 2017.
He is committed to wire fraud by facilitating bribery connected to government contracts signed by the “public official” who took office in 2017.

Matt Gaetz Friend Big Joe Ellicott Guilty – Assault Case Update
Big Joe pleaded guilty in federal court to grounds of “pay bribes and kickbacks.”
Ellicott also pleaded guilty to a separate crime related to illegally selling Adderall.
Joe is the best friend of Joel Greenberg, a former “wingman” of Gaetz who is said to be cooperating in the sex-trafficking investigation.
It was reported last year that Big Joe knows “intimate details” of a relationship Gaetz and Greenberg allegedly had with a 17-year-old girl.
Matt Gaetz has denied having sex with the girl.
Ellicott’s plea agreement requires him to cooperate with the government in other prosecutions, including possible grand jury and court testimony.

Is Big Joe Ellicott In Jail?
Big Joe is sent to jail after the sentencing was done. He will be receiving a much lesser year of sentencing being a witness to the Matt Gaetz case.
Joe Zwick, an attorney for Ellicott, said that his client cooperated in the sex trafficking case against Gaetz.

There was a separate hearing about local investigation into Greenberg and the tax office, which led to the charges in the case of Ellicott.
Ellicott is also set to plead guilty to distributing a controlled substance.
According to court documents, Ellicott sold Adderall to others for at least two years, including to one unnamed person who paid him a total of $5,000.
