However, the singer got more than he wished for. Haynes’ mother sent in a video of him singing to audition for The Voice. He got selected and the rest is history.

Berritt Haynes Disease Condition: What Happened To Him?
Berritt was only 8 years old when he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, otherwise known as “sudden death disease.”
The condition causes one’s heart muscles to become abnormally thick, which then makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood, as per USA Today.
At age 14, he received ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillator). ICD is a device that helps to detect and stop abnormal heartbeats. It is placed on the chest.
Haynes got in touch with the Make-A-Wish foundation who grants wishes to critically ill children. He wished to come and watch The Voice, but his wish could not be fulfilled due to the pandemic.
Nonetheless, his Make-A-Wish dream was fulfilled in even better ways.
