Who is Behati Prinsloo?
Behati was born in South Africa on May 16, 1988. Her Namibian parents had to move to South Africa before she was born due to the nature of her father’s profession as a church minister. However, the family eventually returned to their home country of Namibia when Behati was just three years old.
Although she speaks Afrikaans, which is her father, Louis Francois Prinsloo, and her mother, Magda Prinsloo, who operates a bed and breakfast accommodation business, ensure that she is educated in English. For her secondary education, Behati was enrolled in the high school in the town she grew up in, Grootfontein High School. However, in an effort to pursue her dreams of becoming a model, she became disenchanted with school and eventually dropped out in 9th grade to become a model.

When Victoria’s Secret established PINK, their lingerie line for young women, they chose Behati as their first model. She modeled the line in 2008 and the following year she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel and has since appeared in over ten Victoria’s Secret fashion shows.
Previously, Behati Prinsloo had previously worked for Prada’s Miu Miu line and for Marc Jacobs where she was shot for her first advertising campaign titled Marc Since then, she has been shot by notable fashion photographers such as Paolo Rivers, Mario Testino and David Sims for brands such as British Vogue and W Magazine.
