Who Is Ayman al-Zawahiri Wife Azza Ahmed? al-Qaeda Leader Got Killed In US drone Strike

The U.S. president, Joe Biden, announced on Monday that they had killed the leader of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda through a drone strike. Azza Ahmed was his first wife. After U.S. intelligence found that Ayman was hiding in the safe house in Kabul, the operation was commenced.

The leader of Al Quaeda, who was recently killed, was the successor of Bin Laden, who is recognized globally for the 9-11 terrorist attack. He has worked with the organization since its founding, and he is regarded as the real mastermind of the terrorist group.

Ayman was described as the right man or the lieutenant of Bin Laden. On April 30, 2009, the United States State Department announced that al-Zawahiri had emerged as al-Qaeda’s strategic commander and that Osama bin Laden was now merely the organization’s philosophical leader.

Following bin Laden’s death in 2011, a senior U.S. intelligence official stated that evidence acquired during the operation revealed that bin Laden remained heavily involved in planning.

Who Is Ayman al-Zawahiri Wife Azza Ahmed?

Azza Ahmed was the first wife of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. He had at least four wives, Umaima Hasam and Azza Ahmed included.

He married Azza in 1978. She was a student in Cairo studying philosophy. Their wedding was very traditional as there was no music or photographs. The wedding even had a separate area for men and women.

After the September 11 attack, when the United States attacked Afghanistan, Azza seemed to be unaware that al-Zawahiri had allegedly been a jihadi emir (commander) for the previous ten years.

One of his four wives also released a statement congratulating the Muslim women for their role in the Arab spring. Zawahiri had four daughters with his first wife; the eldest was born in 1981 and the youngest in 1987.

He also had a son who was different and was bullied. Unlike many other boys his age, he preferred to stay at home and help his mother.

Ayman al-Zawahiri Children And Family

It is common in the Muslim religion to have a lot of children. Ayman al-Zawahiri had six children, as per his Wikipedia.

He was from a prestigious family; his father had a large family of scholars and doctors. Ayman Al-Zawahiri claimed to have had a strong bond with his mother. He looked up to her brother, Mahfouz Azzam, when he was a teenager.

He has a twin sister named Heba Mohamed al-Zawahiri and a younger brother named Muhammad al-Zawahiri. Heba is a professor of medical oncology. She remembered her brother as being “quiet and shy.”

In response to the September 11 attacks on the U.S. by Al-Queda, the U.S. responded by air striking the bases of Al-Queda located in Afghanistan, and in that strike, Ayman’s wife and two of their total six children were declared dead.

Azza was trapped beneath the rubble of a guesthouse roof following an American aerial strike on a Taliban-controlled building at Gardez. She “refused to be excavated” out of concern for her modesty since “men would see her face,” and the next day, she passed away from her wounds.

While Afghan rescuers worked to save Azza, her four-year-old Down syndrome daughter, Aisha, who had not been harmed by the bombing, died from exposure in the freezing night.

Ayman al-Zawahiri Is Not Alive As He Got Killed In U.S. drone Strike

Al Qaeda’s leader, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, was killed by a U.S. drone strike. News sources are claiming that after the death of their leader, Al Qaeda will eventually break down.

The U.S. government had put a $25 million bounty on his death. Under the condition of anonymity, U.S. sources said that on Sunday at 6:18 a.m. local time, a drone strike was carried out in the Afghan capital of Kabul.

From the White House, Biden stated, “Now justice has been served, and this terrorist leader is not alive.” “We never back down.” According to a senior administration official, U.S. intelligence decided with “high confidence” that the person murdered was Zawahiri.

There were no other casualties. This is the first drone attack by the U.S. since they left the country in 2021. The U.S. has now sent a strong warning that they can address the threats without the availability of military personnel in the country.
