Andrew Lewis Goram (born 13 April 1964) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Born in Bury, Lancashire, England, he started his career with Oldham Athletic and Hibernian, but he is best remembered for playing for Rangers during the 1990s when he earned the nickname “The Goalie”.
THE ex-wife of Rangers legend Andy Goram was headbutted in the face by another woman in a violent pub row. Six-footer Miriam Wyllie, 36, was left with a suspected broken cheekbone after the assault.
Police are now investigating the brawl, which took place last Sunday at Bar One in Saltcoats, where Miriam is a landlady. Last night, Miriam – whose left cheek is still badly bruised – refused to discuss the incident, which took place in front of staff and regulars.
But a friend said: ‘She is very worried about any repercussions. She does not want to end up with another sore face. Since the attack, she has stayed away from the pub and is hoping it all blows over.
‘Sometimes the best thing to do is keep quiet.’ Another friend claimed the attack was over a man but locals fear it is the latest in a series of problems at the bar.
