Andrew O’Keefe, a former chairman of Australia’s White Ribbon Campaign, was arrested Thursday morning for assaulting his business partner.
He is currently being held in custody for further investigation.

Andrew O’Keeffe’s new partner was Dr. Orly Lavee, and the two were spotted together several times by reporters. However, in January, O’Keefe was charged with two counts of assault on his girlfriend at her Randwick home in 2021.
It was reported that former TV personality Andrew spat at, kicked, and pushed her during a heated argument sparked by her belief that he was holding an ice pipe.

Dr. Lavee suffered “injuries to her lip and back.”
He was present in court, facing a possible five-year prison sentence. However, O’Keefe’s lawyer revealed that his client had bipolar disorder and was hypomanic at the time.
The case was eventually dropped due to mental health concerns, but the court official made it clear that this did not excuse the violence.
He stated that there is no cure or pill for mental illness; it is a life sentence.
O’Keefe will continue his treatment for at least six months, including abstaining from drugs and alcohol. He was also subject to an AVO for a year.
“For the time being, it means looking after myself and getting back on track when I reemerge,” he said outside court.
Andrew O’Keeffe Domestic Violence Update- Was He Arrested Again?
Andrew O’Keeffe has been arrested for domestic violence several times now. Furthermore, recently he was arrested again on suspicion of punching, kicking, and choking a woman, who was his potential business partner.
O’Keefe allegedly assaulted the 38-year-old woman on Tuesday at his unit on Kent Street in Sydney’s CBD. She was reported to be a former courtesan but the meeting was conducted not for that matter but to discuss their business.
Surely Andew O’Keeffe must be jailed until his court date.

He was arrested early Thursday after the accusations were brought to the attention of the police.
“A verbal argument erupted between the pair before O’Keeffe allegedly assaulted the woman. He snatched her by the throat, pushing her to the ground, and punching her,” an NSW Police spokesperson said in a statement.
“The man allegedly assaulted the woman a second time before she left the unit, punching and kicking her.”
He is currently being held at the Day Street Police Station, where he is expected to face charges.
People are raising their voices to have him arrested and punished for his crime. It was the third incident of violence against women.
