Calysta Bevier rose to prominence after receiving a golden buzzer on the fourth episode of Simon Cowell’s America’s Got Talent: Season 11 show in 2016. But that’s not all you need to know about her. She has undergone treatments and luckily for her survived. Since then, Bevier has vowed to use her voice as much as possible to fight for both cancer patients and survivors. She also wants to inspire and heal broken hearts with her music.

Who is Calysta Bevier from America’s Got Talent?
Calysta Bevier is a young and upcoming singer and ovarian cancer survivor. She uses her voice to give back to society for all the love she received while treating cancer. She was always singing in her room, with her family, and at local talent shows. In addition to singing, Bevier played volleyball throughout high school and was also a varsity cheerleader.
Cancer knocks!
Calysta Bevier was just 13 years old when she began noticing the early symptoms of cancer, from a lump on her stomach to frequent urination. But in her ignorance, she wished for insignificant interpretations like abs, constipation, and a small bladder.
Then, after her family returned from a vacation in Orlando, Florida in 2015, the symptoms became severe. The lump in her abdomen had increased and she felt nauseous. At first the doctors thought – oh, the young girl must be pregnant. But the tests have shown them to be wrong. She was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer. Calysta was 15 at the time and a sophomore at Otsego High School.
For the following three months, Calysta Bevier was on chemotherapy and received a total of twenty-one infusions. Her doctor also removed a tumor weighing more than four pounds from her abdomen.
